Acronis is an integrated cybersecurity and data protection platform suitable for individuals at home, businesses of various sizes, and service providers.

Acronis’s products resolve all safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity and security (SAPAS) challenges. The platform comes with over 200 software integrations built specifically for service providers, including Microsoft Intune, ConnectWise Manage, and NinjaOne.

The platform delivers antivirus, backup, disaster recovery, and endpoint management solutions through both service provider and IT professional deployment models. By incorporating all facets of cybersecurity into one platform, Acronis reduces the complexity of security responses, boosting efficiency and productivity in the process.

Additional Acronis costs to consider

Acronis doesn’t offer online pricing for some of its products, and additional subscription costs are completely obfuscated. Although hidden prices are common in the SaaS market, our business model bypasses this frustration, revealing hidden pricing tiers and providing SaaS customers with more bartering power during negotiations.

Other vendors offering cybersecurity and data recovery solutions

We work independently of vendors, which means we have no vested interest in promoting one solution over another. To that end, take a look at the three similar platforms to Acronis highlighted below.

Acronis pricing vs Veeam

Like Acronis, Veeam also offers cybersecurity solutions for small businesses, enterprises and service providers in virtual, physical and cloud-based environments. The company’s two platforms predominantly focus on data management and protection and are separated according to their environments, like so:

  • Veeam Data Platform — Self-managed data protection for hybrid and multi-cloud data.
  • Veeam Data Cloud — Cloud-native backup storage services for anything as a service (XaaS) applications.

Veeam pricing starts at $4 per person per month (pppm), but pricing isn’t visible for Veeam’s Data Platform. There’s a 30-day free trial available for both platforms.

Acronis pricing vs Commvault

Commvault’s singular platform, Commvault Cloud, is designed for use at the enterprise level, offering backup, recovery, data governance and cloud management. Powered by Metallic AI, the platform processes threat detection, early warnings and responses with speed and certainty, offering cloud-scale recovery and cybersecurity.

Commvault Cloud comes in three subscription tiers:

  • Foundational Protection — Data security, recovery and AI-driven automation.
  • Autonomous Recovery — Automated validation, data replication and rapid recovery.
  • Cyber Resilience — Cyber recovery, data security governance and pre-emptive warnings.

Commvault pricing isn’t available online but new customers can access a 30-day free trial.

Acronis pricing vs Veritas Technologies

Veritas Technologies also offers data protection, backup and recovery across on-premises, hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The company organizes its products into four categories below — the products you require within each category will depend on the size of your organization:

  • Data Protection — Ransomware-resilient backup and recovery solutions.
  • Insights — Predictive analytics for unified insights, as well as data classification and unstructured data visibility.
  • Availability — High availability and disaster recovery across an array of critical business services, increasing uptime and improving performance.
  • Compliance — Automated data capture and archiving, as well as digital forensics, investigations and document reviews.

Veritas Technologies offers a premium platform, Veritas Alta Data Protection, for enterprise and cloud workloads, safeguarding data across any environment at any scale.

Veritas pricing is not publicly available, but free trials are offered on all of its products.

Acronis pricing — the Vertice verdict

As cyber criminals become ever more sophisticated, your organization’s security infrastructure must be ready to combat new threats — whether that’s on-site or across multi-cloud environments.

With Acronis, all of your security concerns are taken care of: antivirus detection, backup security, rapid data recovery, centralized endpoint management, and more. When these challenges are reconciled on one platform, the complexity of cybersecurity protocols is broken down into a single pane of glass. For any organization juggling data concerns across a wide range of environments, Acronis’s products could be invaluable.

Two of the three other vendors mentioned here — Commvault and Veritas Technologies — offer similar solutions, albeit targeted more specifically at particular organizations. The Commvault platform has been designed at the enterprise level, and the same can be said for Veritas’s premium product, Alta.

Veeam’s two solutions focus largely on data protection and recovery. Its Data Cloud platform is one of the few products discussed here with visible pricing, starting at $4pppm.

Whichever solution your organization needs, Vertice’s customer purchasing teams can help your company negotiate the best price. We have access to transactional records of previous subscription contracts, so we know exactly what your competitors have paid for their SaaS products. Armed with this information, we hold greater sway during negotiations, securing the products and features you want — all at optimized prices.
