Which SaaS tools have the highest renewal rates in 2026?

Renewal rates serve as a primary indicator of "stickiness" – how deeply a tool is embedded within an organization's operations. High renewal rates typically reflect high switching costs, where the complexity of migrating data or retraining teams outweighs the potential benefits of moving to a competitor. Vertice's Q2 2026 data shows another complete turnover at the top of the list, with a decisive shift toward cybersecurity and financial infrastructure platforms.

  • CrowdStrike climbs from #5 to #1: Having appeared at the bottom of the Q1 2026 top five, CrowdStrike now leads the leaderboard entirely, reinforcing that cybersecurity platforms remain some of the least discretionary, hardest-to-replace tools in a modern stack.
  • Financial and operational "systems of record" dominate the new list: NetSuite and Avalara joining Tableau and Google reflects how deeply embedded core financial, analytics and infrastructure platforms become once an organization builds its processes and reporting around them.
  • A third consecutive quarter of near-total turnover at the top: Between Q2 2025, Q1 2026 and now Q2 2026, almost none of the same vendors have repeated in the top five, suggesting "stickiness" itself shifts quickly between categories even if any single tool, once adopted, is hard to displace.

High renewal rates are a sign of genuine embeddedness, but they can also mask a lack of active review – a tool renews because switching feels too costly, not necessarily because its pricing or terms were checked.

SaaS spend management software helps track how deeply each tool is embedded across the organization, while pricing benchmarks ensure that even the stickiest, hardest-to-replace platforms are still renewing on competitive terms rather than coasting on the assumption that switching isn't realistic.

Data source: These insights are derived from over $75bn of global processed spend managed by Vertice in 2026.
